Tabernacles 2008 Report

The Feast of Tabernacles 2008 with Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry can be summed up in one word:  “fast.”  The Feast simply flew by. For many who came it was the first Feast they had attended and the consensus was that they never experienced anything like it. One young man was so heart broken about leaving that he plans to move to YRM in Holts Summit as soon as possible.

We welcomed six new brethren into the body of Messiah through immersion into Yahshua’s Name. Two came from Canada to keep the Feast and be baptized. One of them wrote: "On behalf of the Canadian contingent thanks for the wonderful time we enjoyed at the Feasts. We know many people worked very hard to make the Feast days such a success – our thanks to all of them. Our sympathy goes out to those who for one reason or another could not attend the Feasts. This is like many things in life that we put off until another time – we run the risk of missing the last opportunity to do it. We look forward to our next opportunity to meet with the congregation of YRM." It was a joy to witness these lives changed for the sake of the Kingdom.

We had loads of children, which was a blessing. We completely filled the children’s classroom and will need to make adjustments for next year. The FOT camp keeps growing year after year and we praise Yahweh for the well-grounded, helpful people that He keeps bringing to us to further the message our Savior Yahshua preached. We truly are building a workforce for Yahweh.

Many activities and sermons were provided throughout the feast. The group picnic and nature walk was a great time to fellowship and view the fall beauty of Tennessee .

Being the Sabbatical year, the assembly gathered to read the Book of Deuteronomy and many commented on learning many new truths they missed in past readings.

Frontier day was another hit as we all got lost in time even if for only half a day. The barbeque was meaty and nobody walked away hungry. The new Ultimate Feast Challenge was a fun, biblical version of the popular TV show and it indeed was a race for the Word. Seven teams participated but only one winning team went home with new research books. Congratulations to the winners.

We again took over a bowling alley one afternoon and Jordans Rising music was soothing to our ears as Yahweh’s word permeated the establishment in song. No smoke or worldly music that afternoon at the bowling alley.

The night of special music was a highlight for many. The music was awesome and had a deep impact on the soul. One brother said with tongue in cheek, “The music was so good you should have an admission charge.” Yahweh’s spirit could truly be felt that night, and we praise Him for all the musical gifts of his people. The Feast of Tabernacles is the best part of the year for most believers. And Yahweh commands its observance.  Why would anyone miss it? Start making plans for next year.
