Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry invites you to this year’s Feast of Tabernacles in southern Indiana at Shakamak State Park from the evening of 9/23 through 10/2. Please note that since the Feast ends on Friday evening, 10/1, we have reserved the camp through 10/2 to encourage everyone to keep the weekly Sabbath. This pristine state park is located approximately thirty minutes south of Terre Haute and two hours southwest of Indianapolis. Shakamak offers all the needed facilities, including a large dining/meeting hall with additional facilities for children’s classes and other activities.  Map to Shakamak >>

Worship:

First and foremost, the feast is a time to worship Almighty Yahweh (Lev. 23:1). There is no greater purpose! To follow this command, we have scheduled daily worship services with several Bible Studies throughout the Feast. To honor our Father in Heaven, we ask that all Feastgoers make an effort to attend all scheduled worship services.

Activities:

In addition to the worship services, we have several family activities planned, including: horseback riding, volleyball, hiking, and a special activity we are calling “Pioneer Day.” In addition to the planned activities, fishing is also available at the state park.

Lodging:

Update: There is currently no available lodging at the group camp. Remaining lodging options include: two bedroom cabins and tenting at both the main park and youth tent area (basic tenting only).  Please note that the youth tent area is available to all feastgoers, including couples and families. See motel information below.

The camp offers several options for lodging, including: 12 bunkhouse buildings, 10 two-bedroom cabins, and two options for camping. The 12 large bunkhouse buildings, which are located within the group camp where worship services will be held, will be split to accommodate two bedrooms. While the division will offer visual privacy, neighbors will need to respect one another by keeping the volume level to a minimum. Each side of the bunkhouse comes equipped with six bunk beds and offers a shared refrigerator and a full bath with shower. In addition, each bunkhouse has a stove that may or may not be shared. The bunkhouse building also comes equipped with heat and air. The cost for a bunkhouse room is $250 for the entire Feast. Since room is limited, singles will not be permitted to stay alone and couples or families will need to share with one other couple or family. Only families of four or larger will be able to rent an entire bunkhouse. If an eligible family elects to reserve an entire bunkhouse building, they will owe the amount of both rooms, $500. A nonrefundable deposit of $150 will be due at registration for a bunkhouse room (note: for those who reserve the entire bunkhouse building, a deposit of $300 will be due at registration). For those staying at or near the group camp, there is a dining hall with a fully equipped commercial kitchen open to all adults.

In addition to the bunkhouse buildings at the group camp, the ministry has also reserved 10 two-bedroom cabins, which are located approximately a mile from the group camp. The cabins come equipped with 1 full bed and 2 pairs of bunk beds, a stove and refrigerator, basin sink with four drawer cabinet, wood burning stove, and 4 wicker chairs. The cabins are not equipped with heat and air. There is also a maximum occupancy of six persons per cabin. The cost for a two-bedroom cabin is $469 for the entire Feast. To reduce liability, the total amount of $469 will be due with the registration form and will be nonrefundable.

Please note, Shakamak policy also prohibits pets in all lodging, including the bunkhouse buildings and two-bedroom cabins.

For the adventurous, the camp also offers two tenting options. The first option is the youth tent area, which is walking distance from the group camp and is reserved exclusively for Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry. The youth tent area offers only basic tenting with vault toilets. Those staying at the youth camp will need to use the bathhouse at the group camp for showers. The cost for the youth tent area is $2 per person, per day. Only tents are permitted. Those who plan to reserve a two-bedroom cabin, a bunkhouse, or a site at the youth tent area, must register with and pay the ministry directly.

The second option is the public campground, which is about a mile from the group camp. The public campground offers 122 electric sites and 42 non-electric sites. There are also a limited number of sites with full hookups for campers and RVs. For those interested in a site at the public campground, it is recommended that they contact the camp by phone or online to reserve and pay for a site prior to the Feast (http://www.indiana.reserveworld.com/index.cfm). Please note that those who reserve a site at the public campground will still need to register with the ministry.

Meals:

While meals will be the responsibility of individual Feastgoers, we will offer several meals throughout the Feast, including a fellowship meal on the first high day, which will be provided by the ministry, and a communal meal on the last high day. In addition, the ministry has also scheduled several group dinners, including a BBQ, a spaghetti dinner, soup and salad, and a hot dog roast. While there will be no charge for the dinners and all are invited, a donation is suggested per person/family (i.e. ages 3-12: $2, ages 13+: $4, family cap: $12).

Airport and Bus Connections:

The closest airport to Shakamak State Park is the Indianapolis International Airport. For those taking Greyhound, the closest station to the camp is in Terre Hautte.

Respect Our Teachings

Yahweh’s Restoration Ministry asks all who attend to respect our doctrines and not to purposely spread discord or disagreement. This includes the exclusive use of the Name Yahweh and Yahshua for the Father and Son. We also believe that women should wear head coverings in worship as prescribed by the Apostle Paul. The Feast is a time to worship and to enjoy the company of like-minded believers, not to engage in doctrinal disputes. If you share a different belief from YRM’s Statement of Beliefs, we would ask that you discuss it with only YRM’s ministers and not to share it with others. (We would encourage your questions before the feast as we get very busy during the Feast)  Contact us online

We pray that you will make plans NOW to join us for the 2010 Feast of Tabernacles from the evening of 9/23 through 10/2 at Shakamak State Park. The many instructional and inspirational messages along with the many family activities promise to make the upcoming Feast one for the ages! May Yahweh bless you in your desire to serve Him.
